We hope you are enjoying a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend filled with family, gratitude, and time together!
This week, our Grade 4 students are heading to the Calgary Zoo for an exciting learning experience, we have new and returning staff to welcome, and our Casino Fundraiser is just around the corner! Thank you for the many ways you help make Somerset such a welcoming and supportive school community.

🎲 CASINO FUNDRAISER | WE NEED YOU!
📅 October 16 & 17, 2026
Our Casino Fundraiser is one of our most important fundraising opportunities of the year, and its success depends on volunteers from our Somerset community.
A few hours of your time can make a BIG difference for our students.
Funds raised through the casino help create meaningful opportunities and experiences that directly benefit students at Somerset School.
CAN YOU HELP?
We need volunteers to fill shifts on Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17.
No experience is necessary. Parents, guardians, family members and community supporters are all welcome to volunteer.
👉 Choose a shift and sign up HERE.
Every volunteer matters. Every shift helps. When our community comes together, our students benefit.
