ALL WEEK | Scholastic Book Fair
Our Scholastic Book Fair runs throughout the week, during students regular library time. Families are welcome to attend the bookfair with their student(s) on Friday, September 18th, during the welcome back picnic (1:15pm - 2:30pm). We look forward to celebrating books, reading, and curiosity with our Somerset students and families!

Welcome Back BBQ & Meet the Teacher
Friday, September 18th at 1:15pm - 2:30pm
We are excited to welcome families to our 2026–2027 Welcome Back BBQ & Meet the Teacher
- During the school day | Students will be offered a Hot Dog fun lunch*
- 12:55 p.m. | Student dismissal
- 1:15 p.m. | Door 'O' opens for Meet the Teacher (by the playground)
- 1:15–2:30 p.m. — Family activities
- BBQ for families and guests
- Outdoor family games on the tarmac
- Scholastic Book Fair in the Learning Commons
- Meet the Teacher - This is an opportunity to connect, explore, and share. Come meet your child’s teacher, visit their classroom and learning environment.
* DURING THE SCHOOL DAY | Student BBQ Lunch
All students will be offered a complimentary BBQ lunch, including:
- Beef (Kirkland) or vegetarian hot dog
- Ketchup (Heinz) and mustard (Sunspun)
- Lay’s chips
- SunRype juice box
If your child does not want a BBQ lunch, please send a packed lunch.
