Along with our daily learning adventures, we will also be showing our resilience during a scheduled fire drill and welcoming Elections Calgary to our school site. It will be a busy and exciting week, and we are proud of how our students rise to every occasion with positivity and flexibility!

Safety Update
Dogs
At Somerset School, we work proactively through education, conversations, communications, and visual reminders to promote safe practices around dogs near our school. Enforcement, however, is handled by the City of Calgary. We appreciate your continued partnership and patience as we focus on prevention and awareness.
Additionally, please note:
- The field adjacent to our playgrounds is City of Calgary property, and City bylaws apply.
- Dogs should not be on school property unless they are certified service animals.
- All dogs near the school must be kept on a leash at all times for the safety of our students.
- Please be mindful and in control of your pets around young children to prevent accidents.
While we do not enforce city bylaws at the school, if you have concerns, you may contact:
- City of Calgary Animal Services by calling 311.
- For bylaw information, visit: City of Calgary Responsible Pet Ownership Bylaw.
If immediate concerns arise near the school, please notify a staff member, and we will do our best to assist.
