HALLOWEEN | COSTUMES & PARTICIPATION
Students are welcome to wear costumes to school if they wish. Dressing up is optional, and we encourage everyone to choose something comfortable, safe, and appropriate for Kindergarten through Grade 4.
Costume Guidelines:
School-appropriate:
- No gore, masks, negative stereotypes, or discriminatory elements.
Safe for movement:
- Costumes must allow students to participate fully in all activities, including Physical Education.
No prop weapons:
- Any prop weapons brought to school will be held in the office and must be picked up by a parent or guardian during office hours.
Easy to manage:
- Students should be able to use the washroom independently.
Not dressing up? No problem! Students are welcome to wear orange, black, another favorite color, or their regular school clothes.
Food & Treats: Please do not send food or treats to share. This helps keep everyone safe and included.
Inclusive Participation: We recognize that families celebrate and participate in different ways. If your child is unable to participate in Halloween activities, please contact their classroom teacher so alternative plans can be arranged. Our goal is for every student to feel safe, welcomed, and included.
