Dear Parents and Guardians

What a wonderfully busy week we have had together! We kicked things off with a very successful Book Fair, followed by the excitement of School Photo Day. Our Healthy Hunger Fun Lunch was a delightful addition, and we proudly recognized Orange Shirt Day to honor Indigenous history and culture. To cap it all off, we enjoyed a fantastic Welcome Back BBQ paired with our Meet the Teacher Night.

Thank you to all the families who participated and made these events special. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers, as you are truly the backbone of our community. In addition, a huge thank you to Friends of Somerset School Foundation and 1st Class Child Care for sponsoring the BBQ and 1st Class Child Care for bringing in 360 Films – Video Booth

Here are your weekly updates:

URGENT | Demographic Verification Forms Compliance

This is an urgent reminder that Demographic Verification Forms for the 2024-25 school year are now overdue (the deadline was September 20). Currently, a significant percentage of our students’ forms are incomplete, and we need your help to address this.

Completing these forms is a legal requirement from Alberta Education and is crucial for our school’s funding. Incomplete forms could lead to a reduction in financial support for Somerset School.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

STEP 1: Set up your MyCBE Account HERE

STEP 2: Update Demographic Forms
